- Location: Fountain Valley, CA

Requirements of the Science Coordinator:
- At least 5 years of experience in the Scientific or Nutritional field, ideally within the Food and Beverage industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree in the Scientific Field such as Nutrition, Food Science, Life Science, Health Science, Microbiology, Public Health or related fields from an accredited university/college.
- Experience to plan and organize academic conferences.
- Must have communication skills and public speaking skills.
- Valid driver license
Responsibilities of the Science Coordinator:
The Science Coordinator performs duties to offer credibility to the Company’s products through educating health professionals and general customers by providing scientific information regarding health benefits of probiotics and importance of gut microbiota on human health. Also provides support in communicating the corporate image through writing and editing press releases; media alerts; product fact sheets, photos and descriptions; data sheets; brochures; and other related documents in support of brand and product campaign initiatives.
- Communicate with medical doctors, health care professionals, and nutritionists to explore opportunities to engage in science activities together with them and to execute these opportunities to promote our business, based on science.
- Organize webinars and symposiums to provide scientific information regarding health benefits of probiotics and the importance of gut microbiota on human health. This includes tasks such as inviting speakers, facilitating procedures for providing continuing education units, setting up venues or webinar platforms, and creating post-event reports.
- Organize scientific events to provide scientific information regarding health benefits of probiotics and the importance of gut microbiota on human health to general customers. This involves conceptualizing the type of event, preparing the necessary presentation materials, setting up the venue, attracting the audience, conducting presentations during the event, and creating post-event reports.
- Attend scientific events and other meetings as assigned, wherever located, including trade shows, conventions, health fairs, conferences, etc.; Effectively engage attendees, listen and learn their interests and inform attendees of Company products and plans. Report the results of activities to the supervisor or manager.
- Write science and public relations-related materials such as brochures, text for websites, press releases, and marketing materials.
- Respond to customer inquiries in areas of science, health and related areas.
- Research and update science-related regulatory issues assigned by manager.
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Travel out-of-town and locally for business purposes as needed with reliable transportation.
- Work weekends or holidays for events and special occasions.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
